BEHIND THE BRUSH: PETAL PARTY

The piece is inspired by the backyard fiestas of Steph’s childhood – in particular, garden parties at her grandparents’ home in Highton, Victoria.

As Steph created this piece, memories of pillow-soft lawns, vibrant gardens, sizzling barbecues and backyard cricket were adrift.

Petal Party reminds us we don't have to do something epic to soak up nature’s healing powers. Sometimes, a sunlit backyard shindig with loved ones is all we need.

Colour palette: Retro orange, magenta and yellow, with sky blue, green and white.
